Dr. Aawatif HAYAR, President of the University Hassan II of Casablanca, Morocco, inaugurated the first cohort of PhD applicants to become academic mentors. The university provides high-level education to more than 125,000 students from Morocco and numerous French-speaking African countries. The potential for mentoring is tremendous: 10,000 PhD applicants are poised to be part of the mentoring squadron formed in several batches of PhD applicants to be mentoring several thousands of students, both BA and MA. Dr. Hayar was the instigator of this initiative that puts her university at the forefront of this pioneering mentoring program in Morocco. The initiative was quickly relayed by Samira SIHAM RAÏSSOUNI, President of LPRH and MentoringCo’s partner for Maghreb. A first batch of 200 students are expected to join the mentoring training in September.
